Frequently Asked Questions

Expert answers to your chimney and venting questions.

What type of chimney liner do I need for a wood-burning stove?

For wood-burning applications, we recommend a 316L or 304L grade stainless steel flexible liner. These are designed to withstand the high temperatures and corrosive soot produced by wood fires.

How do I determine the correct diameter for my chimney liner?

The diameter of your liner should typically match the exhaust outlet on your heating appliance. For fireplaces, the size is calculated based on the square inches of the fireplace opening.

How long does shipping take for custom chimney components?

Standard items ship within 1-2 business days. Custom-fabricated components, such as specific chase covers or multi-flue caps, typically ship within 5-7 business days.

Do your products come with a warranty?

Yes, most of our stainless steel lining systems carry a Lifetime Transferable Warranty, provided they are installed according to manufacturer instructions and maintained annually.

What is your return policy for unused items?

We accept returns on stock items within 30 days of purchase, provided they are in new, uninstalled condition. Please note that custom-made products are non-returnable.

Are your chimney liners UL listed?

Absolutely. All Rockford Chimney Supply liners are UL listed to the UL 1777 standard, ensuring they meet the highest safety and performance requirements in the industry.
